Tucked away behind the High Street, Rainbows End Café is a hidden gem offering a delightful vegetarian menu. It is upstairs from the Goddess and The Green Man shop with entrance to the left of the shop, see image below. There is a separate entrance from the car park (St John’s Car Park) at the back too that accesses the garden. From their famous quiches to hearty soups and vibrant salads, everything here is made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their serene garden seating area is perfect for a relaxing lunch.

4. Burns the Bread
A beloved local institution, Burns the Bread is Glastonbury’s go-to bakery for freshly baked goods. I saw the freshly baked sausage rolls behind the counter and quickly nipped in to get it. From artisanal breads and buttery pastries to savoury snacks and indulgent cakes, this award-winning bakery offers a delicious selection that caters to all tastes. Its central location on the High Street and friendly service make it a must-visit for anyone seeking a quick bite or a taste of traditional, handcrafted treats.
5. Coffee Zero
A haven for coffee lovers, Coffee Zero on Glastonbury High Street serves exceptional coffee crafted from locally roasted beans. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and expertly brewed beverages, this cozy café is perfect for a quick caffeine fix or a leisurely catch-up with friends. 6. Lazy Gecko Café

It is located directly opposite the Town Hall and next to Tin Pot Pasty company.

10. My Fine Deli – Cafe, Restaurant and Deli
We were here first thing in the morning for their breakfast. A Full English before we head out exploring up and down the Glastonbury High Street. It did not disappoint. We ordered a flat white which was pretty strong and a pot of green tea, toasted tea cake served with butter and strawberry jam and the Full English Breakfast. A delightful blend of café, restaurant, and deli, My Fine Deli on Glastonbury High Street offers a warm and inviting space for food. The deli serves everything from hearty breakfasts and gourmet sandwiches to indulgent desserts. The deli section boasts a wide range of fine cheeses, charcuterie, and artisan products, perfect for a treat to take home.

11. Heaphy’s Café
This quaint café is perfect for coffee lovers and those seeking a light lunch or afternoon treat. Known for its artisan coffee, fresh pastries, and friendly service, Heaphy’s Café is a charming stop during your High Street exploration. 12. Knights Fish & Chips
Not exactly on the High Street but on Northload Street off the Market Cross is Knights Fish and Chip. For a classic British treat, head to Knights Fish & Chips, a local institution established in 1909.
