The Carnaby Universe

The theme for 2023 was ‘Carnaby Universe’, an immersive journey through a winter wonderland, designed to captivate visitors with its innovative use of space, glittering and reflective surface and neon coloured light. The installations were a blend of cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, reflecting Carnaby Street’s commitment to environmental consciousness.

This year’s theme is ‘Carnaby Universe’, where a solar system of neon lights were strung up in the sky above Carnaby’s brilliant shops. It was turned on officially on Wednesday November 8.

Spectacular LED lights, which are energy-efficient and have a lower carbon footprint, illuminated the street, creating a magical ambience that enveloped shoppers and visitors in the warmth and joy of the holiday season.

Central to the display was a magnificent array of custom-designed pieces that showcased themes of the solar system. Carnaby Street said: ‘Visitors will be immersed in a dynamic and vibrant display of neon colour and light waves creating a moving vortex on Carnaby Street.’
