Slim Chickens Favourites: What to order? Our recommendations

Our favourites at the fried chicken outlet is not so much the wraps, sandwiches or milkshakes but what the restaurant is founded upon, chicken tenders and wings.

5 & 5 Meal

If you are like us, a small family of three, head for the 5 and 5 meal, which is essentially a combination of 5 chicken wings and 5 chicken tenders. You can add more chicken tenders or wings as sides if you are a hungry bunch. The latter is the company’s signature hand-breaded tenderloins with southern-style buttermilk marinade. While the former, fried chicken wings that are pre-coated with house dipping sauce. We chose Honey BBQ. With the meal, you will also have a choice of two house dipping sauces from a selection of 14 different types. Our recommendations so far are Blue Cheese and Mango Habanero.

Must-have Sides: Fried Pickles and Crispy Fried Onions

This will leave room for our next favourite sides, fried pickles and crispy fried onions. The meal does include fries, Texas toasts and one soft drink. This meant you can you pick your hand spun shakes if you wish. The fried pickles and crispy fried onions come with house ranch sauce as standard.

To summarise, here’s our favourites:

• 5&5 Meal (5 tenders and 5 wings) served with Texas toast, seasoned fries, house sauces and bottomless soda
• a regular side of Crispy Fried Onions
• a regular side of Fried Pickles
• choice of Milkshakes

If you have a big appetite, order extra portions or Tenders or Wings (3 each) or have yourselves your own buttermilk marinade tenders or cook-to-order fried chicken wings as individual meals.
