Our favourite French restaurant in Weston-super-Mare is housed in a building right next to the beach. The two storey circular building offers a vista of the beach and the Grand Pier.
With a large bar and lounging area downstairs and a wide open plan restaurant upstairs, with plenty more seating on the terraced areas and balcony, the bistrot seats around 180 diners.
Bistrot Pierre offers delicious french cuisine with a seasonal menu at reasonable price. Dig in to a bowl of classic French favourite, boeuf bourguignon or enjoy a classic steak-frite.
Not so sure about French cooking, we recommend booking your lunch there. The prix fixe lunch menu, or fixed price lunch is the cheapest way to sample their French cooking. If you like what you eat, come back for their early evening or evening menu.
There is a wider choice of dishes in the evening menu and for those who love fish, it is definitely worth a visit. Here’s what we had on our visit to Bistrot Pierre at Weston-super-Mare for lunch.
Main Course
Steak-Frites
7 ox pan-seared minute steak bavette cut, served pink with roasted garlic and parsley butter, pommes frites and dressed leaves
Honey-glazed Pork Medallions
Braised beef with shallots, red wine, mushrooms and bacon with pomme puree and honey-roasted carrots.
Roasted Cod
With a slow cooked chorizo, parsley and tomato sauce.
Dessert
Bistrot Creperie
Traditional French crepes with vanilla ice cream and mixed berry compote.
Mocha Panna Cotta
with almond and pistachio crumble
Overall, we rated our food and experience 5 star; tasty, great value in a bright and open space with a stunning view.
