This wasn’t our first time to Bistrot Pierre and won’t be our last. We have been to Bistrot Pierre in Bath a number of times and have never been let down. The food tastes great, with good portions and is reasonably priced.
We were back again for the fixed price lunch (Prix Fixe Lunch) menu. This time we had the Duck Croquettes and Goat’s Cheese Bruschetta to start and the Boeuf Bourguignon, Parmentier Maison and Burger Maison as mains. After that, we skipped desserts due to the generous starter and main courses.
Starter
Duck Croquettes
Breaded duck croquettes with dressed leaves and dijon mayonnaise.
Goat’s Cheese Bruschetta
Goats’ cheese bruschetta with beetroot and apple relish and dressed leaves.
Mains
Boeuf Bourguignon
Parmentier Maison
The house cottage pie, French style. Made with ground beef and smoked bacon topped with pomme puree and served with seasonal vegetables.
Burger Maison
The house burger with Le Saint Mont Cheese. This 100% prime British beef burger is huge. Stacked with gherkins, relish, plum tomatoes and lettuce and served with pommes frites. There is an extra charge for the cheese but it is still very good value for what you get.
Would we come back again? Certainly. It is worth noting that apart from the good food, you can pick up reward points for every pound spent. Accumulate enough points to exchange for drinks or starters, mains, one course, two course meals be it for breakfast, lunch, early evening or evening courses.
