Our stop at YORI wasn’t for the Korean BBQ but a quick lunch. Although, we would love to come back and try out the full Korean BBQ experience. Lured by their lunch set offers on their window, we were promptly shown to a table for two and encouraged to order using the QR code on […]

Gone are the days of old when shepherd’s huts stood in a lonely corner of an open field, sad, dilapidated, purely to serve the shepherd on the occasional night in the field. These days, shepherd’s huts have taken a stylish turn. With the surge of popularity in micro-homes, these old cabins have now been turned […]

Quiet and calm are the words to describe the Mount Batten Beach in Plymouth. Given its secluded location, this isn’t the beach of choice for travellers and visitors. Even during peak seasons, the place is relatively quiet, frequented only by the locals and those in the know, and thankfully, not too many of them.

While there is no dedicated car park, there is ample parking space in front of the houses that line Heybrook Drive.

You may have missed this Victorian colonnade, an open front terraced summer house tucked away on the edge of the Plymouth Hoe (public park). Also known as the Belvedere Wedding Cake, it is a nice place to sit down and enjoy the view when you are not in a hurry.
