Housed in The Godolphin hotel, occupying what is essentially the main building, the Shutters Restaurant not only offers great food but an amazing view.

The last time we were here at The Copper Spoon, it was before the pandemic. We had our first taste of their layered Cinnamon Roll. It was so amazing, we even tried to make it ourselves. Two years later, we are back again for more.

Overlooking Heybrook Bay to the left and Westlake Bay to the right, Renney Point is a hidden and secluded spot that yields breath-taking views over both bays as far as Plymouth Harbour. While there is no dedicated car park, there is ample parking space in front of the houses that line Heybrook Drive.

We discovered by accident a little gate and some rather steep steps that took us right to the water’s edge along the River Avon. Adventuring downwards gave us some amazing views along the old riverbank at Bradford-on-Avon. If you’re in the vicinity, we would certainly recommend it as a quick stop.
