Just after the Lyme Regis shingles and sandy beaches, is the Fossil Beach. Also, known as Monmouth Beach, this approximately 1 mile stretch of pebble beach comes with a twist. The pebbles and rocks are from the Jurassic age and may contain fossils and large ammonites. On some stretches of the beach, the rocks are […]

The peak of summer in Lyme Regis is a busy busy time. Looking for a place for a late lunch proved challenging as most places were full and busy and not many were dog-friendly. However, right above the Cobb Gate Car Park, the venerable Bell Cliff restaurant stands next to a crystal shop, overlooking The […]

We made Chedington our base for our visit to the Jurassic Coast. There is a stretch of coastline in southern England in the counties of Dorset and Devon that have been home to the creatures of the past from eras bygone. Entire fossilised skeletons of dinosaurs, ammonites calcified in rock all lay about to be […]

Food halls, sometimes also known as food courts are common in Asia. Modern, clean and spacious, they can be found in shopping malls, local markets or independently on their own. Unlike restaurants and cafes on the high street, these are stalls offering a variety of food found under one roof.

This wasn’t out first visit and it won’t be our last. Even though we are based in Bath, we can call Moonlight Indian Restaurant our ‘local’ given the number of times we have been here, more so than our actual local curry house. We intend on doing a series over time, featuring the many delicious […]

The Sanctuary Knocker at Durham Cathedral located on the North Door to the Cathedral. It is a centuries old knocker that takes its name from the fact that in the Middle Ages, people who had committed a great offence could touch the knocker and be granted sanctuary for 37 days.

On our way home after our visit to Durham on a Sunday morning, we stumbled upon this quaint seaside town called Saltburn-by-the-Sea. We didn’t exactly visit the town but just the Saltburn Beach. However, we quickly realised just how much the place has to offer had any of the restaurants and attractions been open.
